NEBOLISH MASTIFF Breed Standards
The Nebolish Mastiff’s exact origins are a matter of debate. What seems to be true is that the breed was created in Canada by breeding a large number of breeds, including Great Danes, Saint Bernards, Boxers, and other Mastiffs, to create a breed that was relatively free from genetic diseases. Some critics of the breed suggest that the breed is not yet standardized, and these puppies are simply mixed breeds.
SKILLS: Nebolish are a perfect big dog, not huge but agile and intelligent.
SIZE: Size ranges from 24-30" at the shoulder.
COAT: Short coated, the mastiff can be found in several colors including apricot, red fawn, silver fawn, dark brindle or silver/apricot brindle - with black or blue mask.
CARE REQUIRED: Very minimal, a brisk brush, occasional bath; the Nebolish love water!
CHARACTER: These dogs are large, muscular, and well-built. They are a combination of grandeur and good nature, courage and docility, highly intelligent. Broad head with wide-set eyes with an alert expression, powerful muscular neck and chest, with heavy muscular shoulders and straight strong wide-set legs, powerful straight back with a strong tail tapering to the end forming a slight curve when dog is in action are attributes of this breed
TRAINING: The Nebolish Mastiff needs room to run and loves to swim and hike. The adult Nebolish is at home living indoors, but they need that daily walk in the woods! These dogs love to check the pastures with there owners, they will make certain all fences are secure and free of intruders!
SOCIAL BEHAVIOR: The Nebolish Mastiff is not for the apartment dweller. It can get by on a daily walk and a large yard, but enjoy acreage to explore. Not prone to roam, but must be contained because of the intimidation of his size! Once boundaries are established Nebolish will stay in a 4 ft or stock fence with no problem. Nebolish were developed in Canada very cold climate, spending winters in front of the fireplace. They thrive in warm climate, love the sun and water.
EXERCISE: Nebolish are perfect for the person who knows dogs and wants to be a role model for there new family member. You could not ask for a better friend and loyal family member.
